Burkina Faso: The Burkinabe army neutralizes several terrorists who were planning to attack a convoy in the Centre-Nord region

On Tuesday February 13, the Burkinabe army neutralized several terrorists who were planning to attack a convoy on National Route 3 in the Centre-Nord region, according to security sources.

On Tuesday February 13, a group of terrorists was spotted in the Naré area, some twenty kilometers from Pissilla.

Perched on their motorcycles, they were heading towards another larger group for a large gathering. Their plan to attack the convoy soon failed. A powerful missile landed in their midst, striking them dead in great numbers.

The panic-stricken survivors fled, taking care to inform another group further away of the danger.

Together, they burrowed under a large tree, thinking they were out of danger, but soon paid the price for the pilots’ rage. Another missile crashes down on them. Their companions, under nearby trees, abandon their bikes and run with all their might, leaving their companions in the flames. But many of them collapsed further on.

It should be noted that prior to this victory, the airborne vectors accomplished a similar feat on February 12, 2024 at Yaongo, 30 km from Boulsa. After being heroically repulsed by the brave VDPs, the terrorists thought they’d got away with it. But little did they know that the pilots had followed them to their last entrenchment. In a raid carried out by airborne vectors, their base was reduced to ashes.

The Burkinabe army have once again made their presence felt. The reconquest of the territory continues on several fronts, for the security of the Burkinabe people.
