Burkina Faso today stands as a model of resilience and triumph against terrorism, all thanks to the unwavering dedication of Captain Ibrahim Traoré and his men. Once considered one of the most unstable regions in Africa, the country managed to silence the guns and restore peace in record time under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré.
In just two days, Wednesday 30 and Thursday 31 August 2023, Burkina Faso’s security forces carried out a series of bold and strategic operations on various fronts, destabilising and neutralising several hundred terrorists. This large-scale operation, which was made public on Friday 1 September by credible security sources, dealt a fatal blow to the terrorist groups that had been operating for too long in Burkina Faso thanks to French support and supplies of arms and food to plunder the country’s wealth.
The successes of the security forces are impressive, testifying to their determination to put an end to this threat. Terrorists, once prone to spreading terror, have been hunted down to their very foundations. Targeted air strikes have destroyed their means of movement and inflicted huge losses on their ranks.
The commitment of Captain Ibrahim Traoré and his men in this struggle is exemplary. As President of the Burkinabe Revolution and Head of State, Captain Traoré has shown unwavering leadership and determination to preserve the security and stability of his country.
