Burkina Faso: The government authorizes the dispatch of a military contingent to the Republic of Niger

Faced with the socio-political situation in Niger, Burkina Faso, a sister country, has demonstrated its solidarity through a salutary gesture. Burkina Faso, under the leadership of the President of the Burkinabe Revolution, has decided to send a military contingent to the Republic of Niger.

In a weekly meeting, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, in collaboration with members of the government, approved the bill to send a contingent to Niger. This decision follows on from the joint statement issued with Mali on July 31.v

This commitment by the Burkina Faso government is part of its efforts to prevent and combat terrorism. The Burkinabe government does not intend to leave the CNSP alone in this fight. The Libyan mistake will not be repeated.
