Burkina Faso: The Government strongly engaged in the fight against terrorism

In the fight against terrorism in Burkina Faso, the competent authorities are working tirelessly. Ensuring the security of citizens is a priority. Measures are continuously being taken to strengthen the capacities of defense and security forces, both in terms of equipment and training.

 The fight against terrorism requires synergy between the defense and security forces collaboration with the population.

President Ibrahim Traoré urges his compatriots to trust the Defense and Security Forces to ensure their safety so that they can freely go about their daily activities.

The Head of State occasionally visits the operational camps on the front lines to console and raise awareness among the affected populations. These visits also serve to boost the morale of law enforcement and security forces.

Captain Ibrahim Traoré emphasized that the Government has committed to security reforms and made significant investments to equip the Beninese Defense and Security Forces in order to further guarantee the security of individuals and property throughout the entire national territory.

In this regard, the Government is already taking strong measures to strengthen the security apparatus with increased human logistical, and technological resources.

The Burkinabe authorities are determined not to admit defeat in the war against terrorist groups. They are implementing several measures to counter this scourge.

These include international cooperation among security forces, intelligence gathering, and enhancing security at the borders, especially those with Niger.

 They also planned prevention programs to counter radicalization and prevent young people from joining terrorist groups.
