Burkina Faso: The patriotic message of Captain Ibrahim Traoré to children during the exchanges

The President of the Transition, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, met with the children of Burkina Faso on Monday, November 20, 2023. A significant representation of children from all social backgrounds, coming from the 13 regions of the country, was present.

According to information relayed on the official website of the presidency, there were more than 230 children received at the presidential palace. The President of the Transition wanted to meet these young ones, who represent the future, on the occasion of World Children’s Day, celebrated on the same day.

The idea of Captain Ibrahim Traoré behind this meeting was not only to engage in discussions with them about their concerns and aspirations but also to take the opportunity to convey a patriotic message. This message emphasized the importance of respecting civic values and patriotic principles that form the foundation of the Burkinabe Nation.

They were called upon to respect the colors of the country, the very foundation of Burkinabe identity and a symbol of unity among the living. The children learned from the president that no one is above the national flag and that it is important to stop and salute the flag whenever they see it, no matter where they are.

They were thus encouraged to respect the law, civic, and moral rules. They are also called upon to contribute to the promotion of social cohesion and peace. On his part, the Head of State promised to do everything possible to ensure their well-being, their development, and especially access to quality education and healthcare, which are their fundamental rights.
