Burkina Faso : Unprecedented meeting of president Ibrahim Traoré with the people this Saturday, February 17th

Going to the people, getting a firsthand feel for the daily realities of fellow citizens, and sharing the state’s vision with the people have never been a difficult exercise for the transitional President, Ibrahim Traoré, the head of state, who plans to reiterate this tradition on Saturday, February 17, 2024.

As a good leader, President Ibrahim Traoré is keen on making the transition he leads a true symbol of cohesion, a new alliance between the entire people and those at the top of the state. It is with this perspective that the Burkinabè authorities have scheduled this meeting with the Burkinabè at the Ouaga 2000 Sports Palace on Saturday, February 17, 2024. This meeting is intended to be crucial, given the importance of the message that will be conveyed.

Since the beginning of the year, significant decisions have been made by the authorities regarding the paramount issue of combating terrorism and reclaiming territory, which requires the citizens’ contribution to the war effort.

In addition to this, there is the historic decision for the immediate withdrawal of the Burkinabè state from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). Contrary to the apocalypse predicted by some fortune-tellers, the state has the imperative duty to reassure the people of the relevance of this decision, disseminate new practices and orientations in the short and long term. This meeting makes perfect sense in the transparency that characterizes the governance of the MPSR, in the permanent closeness that the authorities have managed to establish with the Burkinabè people.

Therefore, the entire people are called upon to respond to this unprecedented meeting on Saturday, February 17, which will witness the effective presence of President Ibrahim Traoré and his entire government.
