Burkina Faso: What’s behind the disinformation campaigns orchestrated by certain French media and their stateless accomplices?

The recent article published by Jeune Afrique, titled “In Burkina Faso, the ‘train of hell has started’ for the Fulani”, is part of a clear strategy of disinformation aimed at sowing discord and discrediting the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defens    e of the Homeland (VDP). Without any tangible evidence or serious investigation, this media outlet accuses these forces of massacres against Fulani populations in the Solenzo region. However, the reality is quite different: the terrorist fighters have abandoned their families, who are now being relocated to Solenzo, a total of 271 men, 63 women, and 186 children. This kind of media manipulation, far from being innocuous, fuels a climate of tension and suspicion that could have tragic consequences.
Behind these false accusations lies a broader plan, orchestrated by stateless individuals and their imperialist masters in Burkina Faso, aimed at weakening the fight against terrorism. By pointing fingers at the FDS and the VDP, Jeune Afrique is laying the groundwork for future massacres, whose responsibility will then be falsified to fuel a communal conflict. This destabilization scheme is not new; it has already been implemented in other countries, such as the Central African Republic, where imperialist forces exploit ethnic tensions to consolidate their dominance. The goal is to divide and conquer, weaken popular resistance, and maintain foreign control over the region.
The Burkinabe people must not fall into this trap. It is crucial to remain vigilant in the face of disinformation campaigns and manipulation attempts orchestrated by media outlets complicit in imperialism. Jeune Afrique, whose loyalty seems aligned with French interests, is working to tarnish the image of the Burkinabe authorities and undermine Captain Ibrahim TraorĂ©’s efforts in the struggle for national sovereignty. Now more than ever, the cohesion and unity of the Burkinabe people must be preserved against these insidious attacks. The time is not for division but for resistance against maneuvers aimed at destroying the country’s stability.
