BURKINA FASO : WHEN THE BURKINABE PEOPLE FORGED A MENTAL STEEL IN THEIR MARCH TOWARDS SOVEREIGNTY

Since October 2022, the Burkinabe people have been inspiring the peoples of the sub-region and the entire African community with their resilience and unwavering support for the transition led by President Ibrahim Traoré. Despite manipulations and false information aimed at defaming their leaders and the armed forces, as well as civilian volunteers engaged in the theater of operations, the Burkinabè people have displayed fierce resistance to all forms of attempts to destabilize Burkina.

Thirsty for true independence and sustainable development, the Burkinabe people saw in President Ibrahim Traoré, upon his assumption of power, a providential man who came to fulfill the unfinished mission that the father of the Burkinabè revolution, Thomas Sankara, had assigned to himself. Thus, they willingly and without hesitation joined him on the path to liberate Burkina, not only from terrorist threats but from all the evils hindering its development.

Given the events that have occurred on the continent since the post-independence era—such as strategies of division, incitement to conflicts and revolts, and the elimination of visionary leaders the honest people of Burkina Faso immediately realized that the journey toward sovereignty is not an easy adventure but a path filled with obstacles. In response, they honed their weapons to face any potential challenges.

These weapons are resilience and unwavering determination to remain united behind President Ibrahim Traoré and the government, regardless of the maneuvers of the enemy. Through this attitude, Burkina Faso has demonstrated to the world its maturity of spirit and commitment to peace and stability.

Apart from a few individuals seeking personal interests who have become local lackeys of imperialists and some embittered individuals against the transition due to losing their selfish advantages, the Burkinabè people now shine with loyalty to Captain Ibrahim. Their unity and resilience are praised throughout the continent and confirm the quality of being honest people by which they are nicknamed.
