Burkina Faso: Work visits of H.E. Apollinaire Joachimson KYELEM de TAMBELA to Venezuela

The Prime Minister, Apollinaire Joachimson KYELEM de TAMBELA, arrived yesterday, Tuesday May 9, 2023, in Caracas, Venezuela, as part of a working and friendship visit.

The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, and the Vice Minister in Charge of Africa, Yuri Pimentel welcomed the Burkinabe government leader upon his arrival at the Simon Bolivar International Airport.

During his stay, Apollinaire Joachimson KYELEM de TAMBELA will meet with several Venezuelan officials, including government members and institutional presidents.

On his agenda, the Prime Minister will discuss strengthening cooperation between the two countries in strategic sectors such as agriculture, mining, basic and higher education, health culture, and defense.

Furthermore, the visit of the Burkinabe Government Chief to Caracas will be an opportunity to celebrate on Thursday, May 11, 2023, the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Venezuela and Burkina Faso, through a wreath laying ceremony in honor of the Liberator Simon Bolivar, in the presence of the African diplomatic corps accredited in Caracas.

The Prime Minister, Apollinaire Joachimson KYELEM de TAMBELA, will also meet with Burkina Faso students participating in the Fundayacucho program on Friday, May 12, 2023.
