CAN 2023 : Sadio Mané’s Return to Form, Great News for Senegal

Sadio Mané, the undisputed star of the Senegal national team, continues to impress with his new club, Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia. In 23 matches across all competitions, the forward has scored 10 goals and provided 6 assists. This outstanding performance by Mané suggests that he has regained his top form after a challenging period with Bayern Munich.

Mané’s excellent form is encouraging news for Senegal, just a few weeks before the start of the 34th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations organized by Ivory Coast. The draw placed the reigning African champions in Group C alongside Cameroon, Guinea, and Gambia.

Having played 100 matches for the Senegal national team, Sadio Mané has a record of 39 goals and 22 assists. His debut dates back to May 25, 2012, in a friendly match against Morocco. A key figure in Senegal’s triumph in the last Africa Cup of Nations, Mané will aim to guide his team to a second consecutive continental title.
