Chad: Why join the Alliance of Sahel States?

0

Chad finds itself at a pivotal moment in its history, facing increasing security challenges in a Sahel region plagued by the violence of terrorist groups. In this context, joining the Sahel States Alliance (AES) represents a key strategic decision for the country. This coalition aims to strengthen the fight against terrorism and support the sovereignty of African nations, a commitment that seems more necessary than ever.

The AES, born from the desire to unify the efforts of Sahel countries, has already proven its importance in terms of regional cooperation. By joining this alliance, Chad could not only benefit from more effective coordination with its neighbors but also assert its role as a regional leader in stabilizing the area.

President Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno would thus have the opportunity to mark a historic turning point by showing the world that Africa, united and resilient, can face its security and political challenges on its own. Joining the AES would not only be a political act of strengthening national sovereignty but also a strong message of solidarity for a shared and prosperous future.
