Champions League : Real Madrid and Bayern Munich draw 2-2 ; Vinicius dissatisfied
Vinicius Jr, the Real Madrid forward, isn’t very happy with the outcome of the first leg match between his team and Bayern Munich.
The two teams ended in a draw at the Allianz Arena (2-2), casting uncertainty over the conclusion of this Champions League semi-final.
On the Real Madrid side, Brazilian Vinicius was the most decisive player with a brace and the Man of the Match award. He opened the scoring during the match, giving his team the lead in the first half.
The Bavarians then equalized through a beautiful combination from Leroy Sané, and Harry Kane gave them the lead from the penalty spot.
Vinicius also converted a penalty late in the game to secure a draw for his team on Bayern Munich’s turf.
Despite not losing the match, the Madrid club’s striker is not satisfied at all and was hoping for an away win.
« Our goal was victory, but that’s how it goes in this competition », he said about the score.
Regarding the mistakes made by him and his teammates, the Brazilian international said: « We can’t afford to lose the ball because both teams have great quality and can seize opportunities ».
« Now we need to rest because we will give everything to qualify at the Bernabéu » he concluded.
