Confederation AES/The fight against terrorism: The exploits of the fighters always go unnoticed by the terrorist communicants
There remains a consistent media silence regarding the heroic efforts of the armed forces engaged in the fight against terrorism within the AES Confederation. These same individuals, who are quick to report on terrorist attacks and spread false information about fighters, seem conspicuously quiet when it comes to highlighting the achievements of the combat forces in Burkina Faso, Mali, or Niger.
It is important to note that these brave and determined fighters are continuously engaged in defending and securing their territories, successfully thwarting their jungle enemies. Just last week, the Burkina Faso Armed Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers of Defence for the Fatherland (VDP) scored significant victories, dismantling terrorist groups in several localities across the country.
The Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) also dealt a heavy blow to criminals by eliminating eight of the most influential terrorist leaders in Tinzaouatène, in the Kidal region. Similarly, Niger’s forces are actively engaged, leaving no chance for their adversaries on the battlefield. For some opinion leaders, these are significant, encouraging victories and important strides in the ongoing struggle to reclaim territories and sovereignty, which the countries of the AES Confederation have committed to.
However, they question the silence of those who, in previous years, were quick to publish first-hand reports on terrorist attacks against civilians or soldiers. Even today, these same voices are faster to spread lies about terrorist attacks than to report on the remarkable work being done by fighters in the three AES countries.
This silence only strengthens the belief, according to some opinions, that many individuals working for French media outlets are in collusion with wrongdoers, aiming to undermine the nations that are fighting to free themselves from the grip of terrorism and imperialism. The need for vigilance, awareness, and resilience from the populations is crucial in order to achieve the final victory.
