After having impregnated the roadmap and priorities of the government of transition, focused on the creation of jobs for young people, urbanization and the restoration of the social fabric of Gabonese, The President of the AfDB discussed with the President of the Republic the mechanisms for valuing Gabon’s forest resources and carbon credits to create wealth for the benefit of indigenous peoples.
The doctor also reiterated his encouragement to the President and the Gabonese authorities for the discharge of Gabon’s debt to the AfDB.
A commitment that reflects the ambition of the CTRI to settle Gabon’s debts vis-à -vis international financial institutions, to clean up public finances and revitalize the national economy.
The inauguration of Oligui Nguema introduced a new chapter in the history of Gabon. Thus several measures have been announced to boost the economy that occupies a prominent place in the country.
For many economic operators, this transition is an opportunity to put back the economic machine, with fine strategies, but also by taking inspiration from other countries of the continent.
Even if we do not know the exact duration of the transition, the president should take the opportunity to take action that will have an impact on the economy, beyond his time at the head of the country.
