DRC: Election, Félix Tshisekedi promises «total liberation» for the Congolese people

The electoral process in the Democratic Republic of Congo is moving forward steadily. On one hand, the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) confirms the upcoming election within a few days, with the reception of electoral materials in Goma. On the other hand, the election campaign continues.

President-candidate Félix Tshisekedi visited Goma on Sunday, December 10th, before continuing his tour of North Kivu with a visit to Beni on Monday, December 11th. The population of Goma, passionate about peace, massively gathered at Afia Stadium to listen to the candidate’s promises of security, country liberation, and peace.

Already, the people of Goma seem to be won over by candidate Félix Tshisekedi. Some have explicitly expressed their trust in the president-candidate to bring peace to Congo. Others believe that he still needs more time to complete the work of pacifying Congo.

During his speech at Afia Stadium, Tshisekedi pledged total liberation for the Congolese. «There is not much left on our path to definitively overcome the aggressor. Trust me, and I will give you total liberation», he proclaimed.

In the wake of this campaign, the team of candidate Tshisekedi has launched the platform called “Fatshivar” It is a propaganda tool, a platform showcasing the various achievements of the Head of State over the past 5 years. Its objective is to popularize the record of his first term.
