President Félix Tshisekedi continues to demonstrate his commitment to quality and inclusive education in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Recently, the EP 1 and 2 Yolo-Nord primary school, known as “Kamina,” located in the Kalamu commune of Kinshasa, benefited from a modernized classroom and new computer equipment thanks to a personal donation from the Head of State. This initiative aims to improve the learning conditions of students and address the challenges faced by the institution.

During his visit to Kamina School on September 16, 2024, President Tshisekedi took note of the urgent needs in infrastructure and equipment, including a shortage of desks and computer tools. Less than 24 hours later, desks were provided by the National Service, followed by a donation of 885 school bags and supplies from the Maman Denise Nyakeru Foundation. Within just a week, 49 computers were sent by the President himself.

The Head of State’s commitment doesn’t end there. According to Léonard Itongo, the principal of Kamina School, rehabilitation work on the school is already underway, and improvements are expected. This action once again highlights President Félix Tshisekedi’s prioritization of education, ensuring that every Congolese child has access to a modern learning environment that supports their development.

Kamina School, a historic symbol of education in the DRC, founded in 1945, is thus experiencing a tangible renewal that reflects President Félix Tshisekedi’s determination to transform the education sector in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
