The President of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Félix Antoine Tshisekedi, has once again expressed his strong commitment to reclaiming areas currently under the control of the M23 rebels in the eastern part of the country. In recent statements, the Head of State emphasized the determination of the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC) to restore territorial integrity and ensure the safety of the population.

This position comes amid ongoing tensions in the Rutshuru and Nyiragongo regions, where the M23 continues to exert its influence. President Félix Tshisekedi stressed the need to intensify military efforts while reiterating the call for regional solidarity to end the instability in this strategic area.

To support this goal, the FARDC, bolstered by logistical resources and a new operational strategy, continue their offensives against M23 positions. This military buildup is also accompanied by intensive diplomatic work, with the DRC advocating within international organizations to denounce the alleged external support for the rebel group.

The Congolese government is also closely monitoring the humanitarian situation in the affected areas. Measures are being taken to assist displaced populations with the support of national and international partners.
