DRC : President Félix Tshisekedi sows the seeds of sustainable cooperation in Qatar
President Félix Tshisekedi has concluded a fruitful two-day diplomatic mission in Doha, Qatar, marking a new era in the diversification of partnerships for the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
During this visit, the Head of State held high-level meetings, including a tête-à-tête with the Emir of Qatar, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation and investment opportunities.
One of the highlights of this mission was President Tshisekedi’s participation in Congo (DRC) Day at Expo Doha 2023, under the evocative theme « Green Desert, Better Environment ». This exhibition fair showcased efforts towards sustainable agriculture and horticulture, crucial in combating climate change. The DRC pavilion illuminated the country’s natural riches, emphasizing its essential role in preserving the global climate.
The DRC Ambassador to Qatar, Mrs. Valérie Lusamba Kabeya, highlighted the significance of this opportunity provided by Expo Doha, allowing all participating countries to showcase their advancements in agricultural and horticultural fields.
She also emphasized the strategic decision of the DRC to showcase its cultures and riches beyond its agricultural sector, providing a comprehensive overview of the country’s diversity and potential.
