Foodtech : Applications open for world cup until April 11th
Despite a decrease in investments in start-ups in 2023, the foodtech sector continues to attract attention due to its innovative potential. To stimulate the creativity of entrepreneurs in this sector, a global competition has been launched.
In this context, Givaudan, a Swiss company specialized in flavors and taste, in partnership with the foodtech community FoodHack, recently launched a call for applications for the Foodtech World Cup, open until April 11th.
This global competition aims to highlight 60 foodtech start-up founders from various regions of the world, including North America, Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, as well as North Africa and the Middle East. The goal is to accelerate the growth of these start-ups by offering them global visibility.
« By partnering with FoodHack and HackSummit, we hope to discover unique solutions created by exceptional and enterprising founders who have a tangible impact on a healthier and more sustainable future for all », said Alexandre Bastos, Head of Open Innovation and Venture Capital at Givaudan.
Candidates will have the opportunity to present their project during a pitch. Following this presentation, two solutions will be selected per region to participate in the final competition, which will take place in Lausanne, Switzerland.
