Foot/ Gabon: Aubameyang soon back in the national team?
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (33 years old) is expected to soon make his return to the Gabon national team, almost a year after announcing his retirement from international football.
Aubameyang, who has earned 73 caps and scored 30 goals for Gabon, appears to be making a comeback to the national team despite walking away from the Panthers in May 2022.
Several photos show that Ali Bongo, the President of the Republic of Gabon, received the Chelsea striker in audience at the Palais Renovation in Libreville on Monday, May 8th.
According to Médias241, the head of state, who is a big fan of the former Borussia Dortmund player, has decided to intervene in favor of Aubameyang’s return to the national team by mediating between the player, the coaching staff, and the Gabonese Football Federation (Fégafoot).
The national team coach, Patrice Neveu, had recently mentioned the possibility of Aubameyang’s return.
Lets recall that it would be the second come back for the Gabonese International in one year.
