Foot/ Mercato: Kylian Mbappé soon in MLS?
While uncertainty reigns over the future of Kylian Mbappé, the British press is reporting this Monday that the French striker could land in the Major Soccer League (MLS) alongside Lionel Messi.
What if Messi wasn’t the only Paris Saint-Germain player to join the USA this summer? Having been sidelined for two weeks now by his club due to his refusal to extend his contract, Mbappé has seen his sidelining extended by the French club, who according to “L’Equipe” are still threatening not to play him all season, even though they are dreaming of the Olympics in France in 2024 and the Euro in the same year.
In the midst of all these negotiations, the Daily Record reported on Monday that MLS is preparing a special operation to try and convince the 24-year-old striker to join the USA, like Lionel Messi, who has been playing for Inter Miami since leaving Paris Saint-Germain.
With the number of foreign players in each American league franchise limited, the above source reports that MLS will not allow all clubs to bid for Kylian Mbappé, but only a select few.
