Foot/Togo : 2026 World Cup qualifying squad announced
On Thursday, May 23, 2024, from the headquarters of the Togolese Football Federation, Paulo Duarte, the coach of the Togo Sparrowhawks, unveiled the list of 26 players for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Declaring that his team has the potential to secure victories, Duarte expresses unwavering determination.
Regarding the Barcola affair, Duarte acknowledges the undeniable talent of the player lost to Togo, regretting the loss to France but wishing him the best for the future.
The Sparrowhawks’ upcoming challenges include a match against South Sudan at the Kegué Stadium on June 5, followed by a trip to the Democratic Republic of Congo on June 9 for the World Cup qualifiers.
