Football 4 Humanity : Palestine triumphs against South Africa

During a charity match organized in Cape Town, South Africa, the Palestinian football team secured victory against the South African team with a score of 1-0.

This match was part of the Football 4 Humanity initiative, a charitable organization fully supported by its sympathizers. Its goal is to assist vulnerable children threatened by various forms of abuse, exploitation, and violence.

The Athlone Stadium was filled with strong emotions during this encounter, which represented the second match organized in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

The President of the Palestinian Football Federation, Jibril Mahmoud Muhammad Rajoub, stated : « This is a clear message to the Palestinian people, the Palestinian sports family, and all Palestinians: you are not alone. We are here in South Africa, on behalf of all the free peoples of the world, to support you in your struggle for freedom and an independent sovereign state, recognized by the United Nations ».

The South African Minister of Sports, Arts, and Culture, Nocawe Mafu, also expressed support for the Palestinians after the match : « This is not just a match for us, it is a demonstration of love to tell you that the South African people understand what you are going through. We have been through it, and we want you to know that you will be free. Palestine will be free, even if it takes time, it is certain ».

As the sacred month of Ramadan approaches, the Israeli government has issued an ultimatum, threatening an offensive on Rafah if the Israeli hostages held in Gaza are not released before the start of Ramadan on March 10th.
