Football: FC Nantes targets congolese international Arthur Masuaku to strengthen squad

To strengthen their squad following the departure of Nicolas Cozza, who joined Wolfsburg after his loan spell, FC Nantes is closely interested in Arthur Masuaku. The Nantes management has made him their top priority for the summer transfer window, particularly to bolster their left flank.

Arthur Masuaku, a Congolese international currently playing for Besiktas, is indeed a profile that appeals greatly to the Canaries. With this in mind, FC Nantes has already submitted an offer to Besiktas to secure the player’s services. However, this initial proposal was rejected by the Turkish club.

According to reports from Orta Cizgi, Besiktas is unwilling to let Masuaku go for less than 2 million euros, especially considering his contract expires in a year. Having been developed at Valenciennes, Arthur Masuaku could potentially return to France if FC Nantes decides to return with a more substantial offer.

The ball is now in Nantes’ court, as they will need to revise their proposal if they are serious about acquiring the left-back.
