Football: Maghreb clubs in contention to sign Burkina Faso international Stéphane Aziz Ki
Maghreb clubs are in pole position to recruit Burkinabe international Stéphane Aziz Ki. The double Tanzanian champion has received three concrete proposals.
For several weeks, Stéphane Aziz Ki has been making headlines in the African transfer market. With 15 goals and 8 assists in the league, the Burkinabe international, whose contract with Young Africans expires in June 2024, has caught the attention of major clubs on the continent.
According to exclusive information from our colleagues at Africa Top Sports, three major African clubs have submitted firm offers for the former ASEC player: MC Alger, Al Masry, and Al Ahly. Additionally, discussions are ongoing with Espérance de Tunis and Pyramids FC, according to the player’s entourage.
Currently, Maghreb clubs are showing the most interest in Aziz Ki. In contrast, Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs, and Mamelodi Sundowns appear to be out of the running for now.
On their part, Young Africans are still looking to extend the contract of their star player. Stéphane Aziz Ki is expected to announce his decision after the finals of the Tanzanian Cup and the CAF Champions League. Recently, he led his team to the Tanzanian Cup final by scoring the only goal of the match.
