Foot/ Mercato: Bayern is struggling to sign Harry Kane
Without a genuine centre-forward since the departure of Robert Lewandowski, Bayern Munich are keen to rectify this anomaly.
The German champions have identified Harry Kane as the ideal target to complete their squad. However, negotiations are proving extremely difficult to get hold of the England striker, whose contract expires next year.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has a reputation for tenacity, and he is the man in charge of the deal.
Although he has so far turned down all the Bavarians’ offers, the latter are not giving up and are preparing to make another bid.
Bayern’s final offer arrives
According to Fabrizio Romano, the next hours will be decisive in the Harry Kane dossier. The mercato journalist explained on Monday that the Bavarian leaders are now ready to travel to London for direct negotiations with Daniel Levy.
During this decisive face-to-face meeting, Bayern will offer more than €80 million for Kane. An offer that will therefore be higher than the last one made.
It remains to be seen whether this will be enough to convince Spurs and their chairman. To be continued.
