Ivory Coast: The 2024 edition of Femua will take place from May 14th to 19th
The 16th edition of the Urban Music Festival of Anoumabo (FEMUA) will take place from May 14th to 19th, as announced by A’Salfo from the group Magic System, the head of FEMUA. This flagship event in the Ivorian cultural landscape, celebrating African music, promises to be special.
For this edition, the event will be held in Abidjan and will extend to the city of Ferkessedougou as part of the decentralized FEMUA, according to the organization, which is committed to reaching a diverse audience across the country. For A’Salfo, the objective is to decentralize culture and expand the festival beyond the borders of Abidjan.
The committee has unveiled a detailed program for the festival. Twenty artists are scheduled to entertain the musical atmosphere. These include Yemi Aladé, Maitre Gims, Affou Keita, Fadall Dey, or the group Les Patrons, as well as TamSir with his hit song “Coup du marteau” from the last CAN (African Cup of Nations).
In addition to the festive side of FEMUA, a multitude of activities are planned. Panels and conferences on the mental health of young people, sharing sessions of experiences, B2B exchanges, a football tournament, and even a popular cross-country race.
FEMUA 2024 is placed under the theme of « Youth Mental Health ».
