DRC: 1st edition of “Festi Gola” from August 03 to 04
Star of Congolese rumba, Ferre Gola recently announced the launch of the first edition of a new festival he is organizing in Kinshasa, his hometown. Titled “FESTI GOLA”, this event will take place from August 3 to 4 at the Tata Raphaël Stadium.
According to the poster revealed on social media, “FESTI GOLA” will be both a festival of exhibitions and craft sales, with also fairs, shows, and games of all kinds. The objective is to promote Congolese culture and arts while entertaining the people of Kinshasa.
Known for his many musical successes since the beginning of his career in the 90s, Ferre Gola has always enjoyed showcasing emerging talents from the DRC. This is evidenced by his recent album titled “Dynastie”, where he was joined by his former colleagues from Wenge Musica Maison Mère and those from Quartier Latin.
In addition to performing himself on stage, Ferre Gola expects to bring several Congolese music stars and international stars to the Festi Gola stage for live concerts. According to some opinions, through this project, the Wenge Musica star reaffirms his commitment to the cultural scene of Kinshasa and the DRC.
