LIGA – DAY 7: REAL MADRID-LAS PALMAS (2-0)

At the end of an overall dominated match, Real Madrid logically won against a team of Las Palmas players but quite limited, especially in the second half. Joselu and Brahim Diaz scored for the home side but David Alaba came out on injury.

Real Madrid are back on track! Just three days after their 3-1 defeat at the hands of Atletico Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti’s side were back on track against promoted Las Palmas. A comfortable two-goal win.

Brahim Diaz scored a fine goal on his first start of the season (45th+3), and Joselu doubled the lead with a header after coming up against a very good Alvaro Valles (54th). With this victory, their sixth in seven games, Real move into second place, one point ahead of Barcelona.

An easy Real Madrid: it was the perfect time to give Brazilian Vinicius Junior some game time, a month after his injury against Celta Vigo. The winger was able to stretch his legs for a good half-hour, making a number of calls and dribbling with his feet, but without looking dangerous.

Aurelien Tchouameni had a great chance but his shot skimmed Valles’ right-hand post (76′). With this victory, the White House can breathe a little easier and are on their way to the top. Second, a point ahead of Barça, but a point behind this season’s Spanish sensation, Girona. And just as well, it’s the match of matchday 8.
