Liga/ Real Madrid : Let José Mourinho think of Jude Bellingham

Dismissed by AS Roma in mid-January, José Mourinho is currently without a contract. The Portuguese manager, however, continues to follow his former clubs, including Real Madrid, whom he coached between 2010 and 2013.

Leading La Liga, Real Madrid will attempt to achieve the double by returning to the heights of Europe. For this, Carlo Ancelotti’s men will have to overcome the obstacle of Manchester City, the defending champions who eliminated the Merengues last season. « We are Real Madrid, we cannot be afraid. They knocked us out last year and we will be out for revenge », warned Aurélien Tchouaméni during a press conference with the French national team on Thursday.

Like many football enthusiasts, José Mourinho will undoubtedly be glued to his TV screen to watch the clash between two contenders. This season, one player has particularly impressed the “Special One.” Unsurprisingly, it is Jude Bellingham, who has had a fantastic campaign with the Whites.

Speaking to Rio Ferdinand, the Portuguese coach highlighted the English international’s character, who arrived this summer from Borussia Dortmund. « When this boy scores a goal and opens his arms at the Bernabeu, he shows all his qualities, but also his character », commented Mourinho. « He’s not arrogant, he does it confidently. This kid, he has a very, very, very big character ».

At just 20 years old, Jude Bellingham has won over the Madrid supporters from the very first weeks as a Real player and has not needed any time to adapt. Used in a number 10 role behind two strikers, the Englishman has been almost decisive in every game he has played. Since the start of the season, he has played 29 matches in all competitions, scoring 20 goals and providing 8 assists.
