Mali: A new milestone for Malian justice, inaugurated by President Assimi Goïta
On Thursday, December 26, 2024, His Excellency General Assimi Goïta, President of the Transition, inaugurated the House of Lawyers, a modern facility designed to enhance the functioning of Mali’s judicial system. This event took place alongside the official opening of the courts and tribunals, marking a significant step in the reconstruction of Mali’s judicial institutions.
Located in Banankabougou, Commune VI of Bamako, the House of Lawyers is a two-story building that provides a dedicated space for the activities of the Mali Bar Association. This infrastructure will enable the institution to carry out its essential duties more efficiently, thereby improving access to justice and the quality of legal services.
In addition to its daily functions, the House of Lawyers will serve as a key venue for hosting major legal events, both nationally and internationally. This strategic role enhances the Malian Bar’s ability to foster legal exchanges and cooperation, strengthening its global presence.
The inauguration of this facility is part of the ongoing efforts by the Transition authorities to equip judicial institutions with modern tools, reflecting President Assimi Goïta’s commitment to reinforcing the rule of law and supporting justice and equity in the country.
