Mali: Army General Assimi GOÏTA, a president committed to transparency and good governance
The President of the Transition, Army General Assimi GOÏTA, continues to lay the foundations for transparent and efficient public management. Staying true to his commitments made during the promulgation of the Constitution of July 22, 2023, he laid the first stone on December 19, 2024, for the construction of the headquarters of the Court of Auditors, a key institution for the improvement of public finances.
This ceremony, which brought together the main figures of the state, marks a decisive step in the operationalization of this 6th Institution of the Republic, created to ensure accountability and transparency in the management of national resources.
With the Court of Auditors, General Assimi GOÏTA confirms his vision of a strong and exemplary state. The Constitution resulting from the June 2023 referendum, which established this institution, reflects his ambition to modernize republican institutions and meet the deep aspirations of the Malian people. The laying of this first stone symbolizes not only the start of a physical project but also the beginning of a structural reform of governance in Mali, where financial justice now occupies a central place.
As President of the Higher Council of the Judiciary, General GOÏTA aims to make the Court of Auditors a strategic tool in the fight against corruption and the waste of public resources. This initiative, supported by a strengthened institutional framework, is further proof of his commitment to leaving Mali with solid institutions dedicated to serving the common good.
