Mali: Army General Assimi Goïta reinforces his commitment to the well-being of the most vulnerable
As part of his commitment to the well-being of all social groups, General Assimi Goïta, President of the Transition, continues to take concrete actions in favor of the most vulnerable. On Thursday, December 5, 2024, a ceremony for the distribution of food and non-food kits was held at the Raoul Follerau Foundation in Para Djicoroni, Bamako. This initiative, aimed at people with disabilities, especially those suffering from leprosy, symbolizes the Head of State’s determination to build an inclusive and supportive Mali.
This initiative is part of the celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and reflects a transition based on national solidarity. The representative of the beneficiaries, Mariam Touré, praised President Assimi Goïta’s efforts to improve security and promote an inclusive Mali. Special Advisor to the Head of State, Aguibou Dembélé, emphasized that these actions reflect the allocation of two levels of the presidential sovereignty fund to social works, highlighting the priority given to mutual aid and human development.
By dedicating the entire month of December to people with disabilities, the Transition calls for collective mobilization for a resilient and supportive Mali. These gestures of hope embody the vision of a Mali where every citizen finds their place in an environment of justice and dignity.
