Mali/Diplomacy: Change diplomatic method for the interest of the country, the authorities get involved

Malian authorities are emphasizing diplomacy to enhance the country’s international image and open up to the world for sustainable development. With misinformation tarnishing the country’s image and portraying it as an undesirable location, it is essential for Malians themselves to work diligently to improve this perception.

The training of new diplomats initiated by Malian authorities is part of this effort and involves all newly appointed diplomats. This initiative aims to equip these citizens, who are to represent their homeland abroad, with practical skills for their diplomatic missions. These diplomats are called upon to vigorously defend the interests of their nation and their compatriots living abroad.

It is important to note that due to misinformation spread by imperialist media, many countries are hesitant to establish cooperative relations with Mali, and numerous businesspeople are reluctant to invest in the country, resulting in a significant economic loss.

Malian diplomats accredited to other countries around the world thus have a duty to meet this challenge. They must be capable of dismantling prejudices about Mali and also of speaking patriotically. Their mission also includes promoting the fundamental principles of partnerships established by Malian authorities for fairer, more sincere, and mutually beneficial cooperation.
