Promoted to the rank of Army Corps and Division Generals exceptionally on October 16 during the council of ministers, the deserving sons of Mali received their insignia on Monday, October 21. It was the transitional president, Assimi GOÏTA, himself promoted to the rank of Army General, who presented the insignia to the new general officers of the Republic of Mali.

These well-deserved ranks, according to observers, are a recognition of these Malian officers who have dedicated themselves wholeheartedly to protecting their fellow citizens and securing the national territory since the beginning of the transition. It’s important not to overlook the patriotic commitment of the transitional president and his companions in the fierce fight against armed terrorist groups and in the effort to reclaim territory.

To date, several victories can be credited to the Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) and their allies, thanks to this patriotic and determined commitment, including the recapture of Kidal and many other strategic locations previously under the control of the bush enemies and their sponsors, despite the presence of foreign troops for over a decade.

These achievements have been praised by observers who note that, despite the obstacles posed by those who seek to undermine the transition, security is gradually gaining ground in Mali. Efforts are intensifying to meet the expected objectives, contrary to the propaganda from imperialist media and NGOs.

Regarding socioeconomic development, ambitious projects are underway in several key sectors such as energy, agriculture, infrastructure, and industrialization, with the support of the country’s strategic partners. The vision of the transitional president and his collaborators is to revolutionize priority sectors to accelerate economic growth for the benefit of the population.

For these generals, this significant promotion represents a renewed call to higher responsibilities, aiming to work in the best interests of the Nation and to further earn the trust of the people.
