Mali: Honorary distinctions, a renewed call for greater commitment

The Transition President, Army General Assimi GOÏTA, decorated several prominent personalities of the Republic of Mali last weekend, as a token of the State’s recognition for their dedication to the national cause. Among the recipients were the Prime Minister, Dr. Choguel Kokalla MAÏGA, members of the government, as well as personalities from various sectors of activity.

These Malian citizens distinguished themselves, according to reports, through their bravery, innovation, solidarity, dignity, and leadership in the framework of Mali’s national refoundation policy and socio-economic development. They were awarded, notably, the rank of Grand Officer of the National Order, Grand Commanders, Officer, and Knight of the National Order.

This is a way of calling on them to make even greater sacrifices and remain determined to effectively achieve the set goals. The Malian authorities, firmly committed to the process of rebuilding the state, with a relentless fight against corruption, armed terrorist groups, and for total sovereignty, need the support of all their compatriots to succeed.

The honorary distinction, according to Mrs. SANOGO Aminata MALLE, the Republic Mediator and one of the recipients, is a “source of renewed motivation”. This recognition would encourage each recipient to continue contributing to Mali’s progress and pass on values of integrity and excellence to future generations.
