The President of the Transition, Army General Assimi Goïta, reaffirms his unwavering commitment to the security of Mali, where, under his instruction, large-scale initiatives are being implemented, such as the second validation workshop for the National Security Policy and Strategy documents, which opened on December 18, 2024, in Koulouba.

Presided over by the National Security Advisor, Major General Yamoussa Camara, this workshop marks a key step in the development of a coordinated National Security Policy (NSP) that is adapted to current challenges. This inclusive approach, initiated in 2014 and enriched since 2019 under the coordination of the Permanent Secretariat of the National Security Council (SP-CSN), involves all key stakeholders : state institutions, Defense and Security Forces, civil organizations, and political parties.

In his speech, General Yamoussa Camara emphasized the critical importance of these documents in strengthening Mali’s sovereignty. The NSP and its associated strategy will provide a unique reference framework aimed at anticipating crises and improving security responses. These efforts reflect President Assimi Goïta’s determination to build a resilient and sovereign Mali through a methodical and participatory approach.

By bringing together experts and representatives from all parties involved, this workshop strengthens the coordination and harmonization efforts needed to address security challenges. Under the leadership of President Assimi Goïta, Mali is embarking on a process of profound and sustainable transformation, equipping the country with strategic tools to ensure long-term peace and stability.
