Mali’s Armed Forces (FAMa) Maintain Pressure on Terrorists in TombouctouWith a steadfast commitment to ensuring total security across the territory, the Malian army has intensified efforts in recent days in the city of Tombouctou, where terrorists targeted the airport area with rocket fire.
Acting swiftly to bring the situation under control, the Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) launched offensives resulting in the neutralization of several terrorists and the destruction of a fuel depot and an automotive park.
The offensive took place in Zouera, in the Goundam circle, 90 km from Tombouctou. Acting on precise intelligence, FAMa aerial assets razed a fuel depot, supply depot, and automotive park to the ground. Several barrels of gasoline and terrorists went up in flames.
Continuing the mission, the army annihilated a group of terrorists in motion around the southern outskirts of Tongui in the Gomitra sector. These criminals were sent straight to hell in airstrikes. Further on, a patrol destroyed a terrorist base with all its occupants in the Niaba forest, in the Douentzan region.
Thus, the FAMa have cut off the terrorists’ fuel supply sources. Yet another resounding success for the FAMa, confirming their commitment to the restoration of peace and tranquility in Mali.
