Mali / Terrorist attack: Some thirty terrorists neutralized by the FAMa
A terrorist attack in central Mali has resulted in the death of thirty terrorists, the Malian army announced.
The incident occurred around 05 :00 AM when fighters from Katiba Macina, a jihadist group affiliated with Al-Qaeda, attacked elements of the Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) while they were bivouacking. The Malian army detailed the events in a statement.
According to the statement, the FAMa responded with determination and tenacity, effectively repelling the assailants. « The response of the FAMa was relentless, and the terrorists were completely routed », the military source specified.
The attack’s toll includes about thirty terrorists killed. Additionally, the FAMa seized thirteen motorcycles and various other materials belonging to the attackers.
This attack highlights the security forces’ efforts to stabilize the region. The Malian Armed Forces continue to conduct operations to neutralize active terrorist groups in the country and ensure the safety of civilian populations.
