Mali / The Bamako attack: An imperialist maneuver to destabilize the AES?

The terrorist attack carried out in Bamako on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, appears to be a desperate attempt by imperialist forces to destabilize the Alliance of Sahel States (AES). By orchestrating this aggression through terrorist groups, their goal extends beyond Mali alone.

The entire AES, an emerging confederation advocating for the sovereignty and independence of its people, is the target. The rise of this alliance worries imperialists, as it threatens their plans for hegemony in the region.

However, the terrorists were met with a seasoned and determined Malian army. When they attempted to infiltrate the Faladié Gendarmerie School and attack Air Force Base 101, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) swiftly intervened. Thanks to their professionalism, the FDS regained control of the situation by neutralizing the assailants, demonstrating the AES armies’ ability to confront such threats.

Nevertheless, this attack raises many questions. It highlights the fear imperialists have of the unity and growing strength of the AES, embodied by its leaders : Captain Ibrahim Traoré, Colonel Assimi Goita, and General Abdourahamane Tiani. These leaders carry a noble mission : to ensure the sovereignty and security of their nations.

In the face of these destabilization attempts, the people of the AES must remain vigilant and united. It is through this solidarity and collective determination that they will ultimately defeat the imperialist forces and their terrorist allies.
