Music : Singer Dadju contemplates an early retirement from music : « I Prefer to Leave at My Own Pace »

Recently, Dadju Djuna Nsungula, also known as Dadju, a Congolese artist, made a statement that saddened many of his fans. The creator of famous titles expressed his intention to end his career in a relatively short time.

« I didn’t want my daughter to know that I’m a singer. I hope that in five years, I won’t even be here anymore, not in music. Yes, even though music is truly my passion, I don’t want to practice it out of obligation, but simply because I deeply love this art », wrote Dadju.

He highlighted the challenges of wanting to quit music, acknowledging that it’s a difficult decision to make. However, he is firm in his intention to retire from the music industry. “I don’t want to be here in 10, 15 years, releasing my seventh or eighth album, because I no longer see the point of doing so,” he added.

Dadju believes he has accomplished what he needed to do in the music field and has achieved his goal by touring extensively. He prefers to leave the stage of his own accord rather than being pushed out. He doesn’t see himself releasing ten albums.

« I will quit music, I will quit everything. I will even stop contributing to the music scene by writing songs for other artists », Dadju declared.
