Niger/Diplomacy: Bazoum’s Page Seems Already On Tour, For Some States
Two months after the coup that overthrew the regime of Mohamed Bazoum, more relentless on the military in power, for the release of the former president, as was the case at the very beginning.
In recent times, the Agenda of the head of the transition government, Lamine Zeine Ali Mahaman, is responsible for meetings with diplomats from Niger’s partner countries. The ambassadors succeed each other to the primacy of Niamey, for either a contact or for exchanges on common interests.
No more than Tuesday, September 26, 2023, diplomats from two sister countries accredited to Niger, were received by the Prime Minister of the transition. These are the ambassadors of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Kingdom of Morocco.
The head of the Nigerien government met in the morning of Tuesday, with S.E Sayed Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed El Salahey of Egypt. It was the turn after, the Moroccan diplomat, H.E Allah Al Ahab to exchange with the Prime Minister of Niger in his cabinet.
Both diplomats reiterated to the transitional government the friendship and cooperation relations that unite their respective countries with Niger. The exchanges between these personalities also focused on the mechanisms that can strengthen these ties, in the interest of their peoples.
Thus, these States understood that the power left Mohamed Bazoum with a non-return. They therefore intend to continue cooperation with the new authorities of the country. This is not the case for others, who hope but in vain, to see the president who has fallen to power.
