Niger: Pan-African Call to Support the Military, Africa Must Rally in Support of Niger’s Transitional Authorities
Following the declaration of the Nigerien military, prompted by the security concerns presented by the Nigerien Defense and Security Forces regarding the escalating terrorism, the Coalition Afrique Engagée (CAE) is issuing a call to the Nigerien people to support the new transitional authorities of Niger.
Including several Pan-Africanists, Pan-Africanist journalists, and African activists, this Organization acknowledges and finds justified the decision taken by the Nigerien military and thus urges all Pan-Africanists, Pan-African networks, and Pan-Africanist media outlets to officially support the new transitional authorities of Niger.
Furthermore, the CAE also invites the entire international community to respect the choice of the Nigerien military, which is facing a security challenge that is humiliating for the entire army, to the point that former President Bazoum, in an official statement, admitted that the terrorists are better trained than his army.
This decision of honor and dignity by the Nigerien military must be respected by the international community.
The CAE and its network congratulate the Nigerien army and stand ready to provide unwavering support to the new authorities.
Following this statement by the CAE, several African organizations express their readiness to support the new authorities of Niger.
