Burkina Faso – Central African Republic: Two countries engaged in the fight for sovereignty and development
The President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, and his Central African counterpart, Faustin-Archange Touadéra, held a decisive meeting as part of a visit of friendship and work in Ouagadougou. Welcomed with honors at the international airport of Ouagadougou, President Touadéra met with the Burkinabe Head of State at the Koulouba Palace, with the ambition of strengthening the historical ties between Burkina Faso and the Central African Republic, two countries engaged in the fight for the sovereignty and development of their peoples.
During a one-on-one meeting at the Koulouba Palace, the two leaders discussed crucial issues for their countries and for the African continent. Key topics included security, economic and social development, as well as the affirmation of African countries’ sovereignty in the face of contemporary challenges. The Presidents reaffirmed their shared commitment to building a strong partnership to support the well-being of their populations and promote a unified pan-African vision.
This meeting marks an important step in deepening relations between Ouagadougou and Bangui, symbolizing a convergence of views on shared strategic objectives. Through this collaboration, the two nations aim to play a decisive role in building a sovereign, united, and development-focused Africa.
