On Friday night, Paris Saint-Germain strengthened their position at the top of Ligue 1 with a dominant 4-1 victory over AS Monaco in the 21st round of the league. Although Monaco initially leveled the score with Zakaria’s goal (17′), PSG quickly regained control, led by a brilliant Ousmane Dembélé. The match started with Vitinha’s free-kick in the 6th minute, which was poorly handled by Monaco goalkeeper Majecki, giving PSG the early lead. After Zakaria’s equalizer, the Parisians took charge.
The second half saw a stunning display from Kvaratskhelia, who scored his first goal for PSG (54′), before Dembélé doubled the advantage (57′). In the final moments, Dembélé completed his brace (90+3), finishing off a perfect assist from Nuno Mendes.
PSG demonstrated great tactical control and were especially dangerous on the counter. Dembélé, named Player of the Match with his brace and outstanding performance, continued to showcase his exceptional form. The defense, led by Pacho, also held strong, with Doué contributing significantly in midfield.
On the Monaco side, Majecki had a poor performance, making critical errors, particularly on the Parisian goals. Despite a promising start, Monaco collapsed in the second half, missing a crucial chance to close the gap in the standings. This loss could cost them a spot on the podium, while Paris, with a 13-point lead, continues their march toward the Champions League.
