Togo and Kazakhstan sign agreement for digital transformation
Togo and Kazakhstan have recently sealed a promising partnership in the field of digital transformation. This commitment was formalized by the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Cina Lawson, Togo’s Minister of Digital Economy, and Bagdat Mussin, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Digital Development, on the sidelines of the sixth edition of « Digital Almaty »,held from February 1 to 3, 2024.
This agreement aims to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the implementation of the « Togo Digital 2025 » strategy. More specifically, it envisages the exchange of knowledge and experiences in digitization, thereby accelerating digital development in Togo.
The Togolese Minister highlighted the successes already achieved by her country in the digital field, emphasizing initiatives such as Novissi, which demonstrates the effective use of Artificial Intelligence, as well as the E-id project, aimed at biometric identification of the Togolese population.
This collaboration between Togo and Kazakhstan opens up new perspectives for both nations by promoting the exchange of best practices and stimulating innovation in the digital transformation sector. It also reflects the commitment of both governments to use technology as a lever for economic and social development, and to leverage the opportunities offered by the digital economy to improve the lives of citizens.
