In a global context marked by numerous economic uncertainties, Togo stands out for its exemplary resilience and sustained growth dynamic. Under the enlightened leadership of President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, the country has posted a growth rate exceeding 6%, a strong indicator that reinforces the overall situation of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU).

Recognizing this remarkable performance, the President of WAEMU, Abdoulaye Diop, made a strategic visit to meet the Togolese Head of State on February 11, 2025. The high-level meeting aimed to gather President Faure Gnassingbé’s guidance for the effective implementation of the Union’s 2030 strategic vision.

Thanks to his expertise and pragmatic vision, the Togolese President provides essential directives for strengthening regional economic integration. His strategic guidance will lead WAEMU in the efficient application of its two major pillars: the framework vision and the Impact 2030 strategic plan.

Through its stability and commitment to progress, Togo thus serves as a key driver for WAEMU and the entire sub-region. Its management model, combining rigor and innovation, remains an inspiration for African nations committed to sustainable and inclusive development.
