Togo: Faure Gnassingbé Opens COP28 In Dubai With Fruitful Discussions On Cooperation And The Climate

Togolese President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé began his participation at the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) in Dubai by meeting with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The two leaders praised the excellence of bilateral cooperation and agreed to strengthen the partnership, with a focus on promoting investment opportunities for SMEs/SMIs. Discussions also focused on multilateral issues related to peace, security and sustainable development. Faure Essozimna expressed gratitude for the fruitful exchanges and stressed the importance of coordinated global climate action.

On Twitter, the President also highlighted the various areas of cooperation between Togo and the United Arab Emirates, including investment, agriculture, infrastructure and sustainable development.
