Togo: Faure Gnassingbé, seeking investors, seizes every opportunity

The agenda of the Togolese head of state SEM Faure Gnassingbé, is very busy because of its dynamism in the search for new foreign investors. For this purpose the President of the Republic arrived on Monday in Kazakhstan for a friendship and work visit, at the invitation of his counterpart Kassym-Jomar Tokayev.

Several topics of common interest, including investment, trade, energy, transport and agriculture, will be at the center of exchanges between the two personalities in Astana.

They will also address issues related to the development of the African continent, economic challenges, the fight against climate change and the promotion of peace and security in different regions of the world.

This first trip of the Head of State Faure Gnassingbé to Kazakhstan marks a new stage of cooperation between the two countries.

As a reminder, the two leaders had during a telephone exchange last October, defined the modalities of strengthening this cooperation in the interest of their respective populations. In this regard, they reaffirmed their mutual commitment to work towards strengthening this partnership in the interest of their respective peoples.

Togo and Kazakhstan have been linked since 2014 by very good diplomatic relations. The 10th anniversary of this win-win cooperation will be celebrated in 2024.

The opportunity to give a new era to this collaboration, especially since the country of Central Asia is a very diversified economy thanks to its wealth of natural resources, such as oil, natural gas, minerals and metals; and Togo in search of foreign investors.
