Togo : Full government support for the reconstruction of women in the affected market in Agoè-Assiyéyé

Aware of the challenges faced by the women in the market affected in Agoè-Assiyéyé, the Togolese government has established a financial support program. This initiative aims to restore the economic stability of the traders, highlighting the government’s commitment to the reconstruction and well-being of its population.

Various measures have been taken to support the affected individuals in resuming their activities. These include the establishment of a temporary market site in Togograin in the commune of Agoè-Nyivé 1, agreements for a one-year moratorium on the repayment of outstanding loans at the time of the disaster, and the implementation of a 0% interest rate bridge loan to facilitate capital rebuilding.

Exceptionally, the FNFI (National Inclusive Finance Fund) insurance program has been extended to 50% for all victims and 100% for FNFI program beneficiaries. A refinancing window has also been opened for all decentralized financial services operating in the affected market.

For any additional information regarding access to credit, applicants are invited to contact their usual financial institution or call the FNFI toll-free number, 80 00 00 12, as indicated in the Togolese government’s announcement.

These holistic measures demonstrate the Togolese government’s commitment to addressing not only the material aspects but also the emotional needs of the affected citizens.

By investing in the reconstruction of the women in the affected market, the government aspires not only to restore immediate economic stability but also to promote sustainable and inclusive development for the future.
